The first landslide that was registered on the territory of Palilula was 10 months ago, and authorities are only reacting now. The declaration of emergency will accelerate the tender procedure (Partizanski kururi Street). Since moving of the land here, the locals from Gabrovac are in fear since there also appeared landslide. They were protesting in front of City Hall and seek emergency response from the authorities.

Only ten months after the landslide occurred in the street Partizanski kuriri, which threatens to collapse a few houses, the City Government announced that it will declare an emergency and begin the rehabilitation. In the meantime, the family Vidanović, Micic and Stankovic had to be evacuated because relented retaining walls that protected their homes.

Ivan Vidanović - whose house is in the greatest danger - said to have all permits for construction and indicates the slow response of those competent in Nis. But, fearing that they would their homes soon be attacked by a landslide, a petition seeking an immediate response of City Government - during the Easter holidays - was signed by not only other inhabitants of said streets, but residents Vase Smajevića and Kovanlučka streets, a total of 65 .

- For months we have been indicating that we are in big trouble. Landslide appeared on May 17 last year, and the Directorate only on February 27 this year received an order to make rehabilitation project. Meanwhile, precipitation have done their work and now the hill came down at 20 centimeters from my home - says Vidanović whose parents are evacuated to a nearby village, while he continued to reside in the home, despite the dangers, and emphasizes that all the buildings are built on city construction land and with all the necessary permits.
